On 30 April 2024, a 3.90 zł postage stamp of the 'National Day of Remembrance of the Wyklętych Soldiers' issue was introduced into circulation.
Majr Hieronim Dekutowski ,,Zapora"(1918-1949)
The year 2024 is the 75th Anniversary of the death, after a brutal communist investigation that lasted over a year, and the sentence executed on 7 March 1949 - the execution of major "Zapora" together with six subordinates in the security headquarters on Rakowiecka Street in Warsaw.
On the stamp we have the image of Major Hieronim Dekutowski pseud. "Zapora". The envelope shows the uniform blouse of Maj. cc. Hieronim Dekutowski ,,Zapora" from the collection of the Museum of Soldiers, Exiles and Political Prisoners of the Polish People's Republic. Next to the partisan unit of Maj cc. Hieronim Dekutowski "Zapora" during a rally in the Rzeszów region, forest near Dobrynin, summer 1946.
The date stamp shows the cross of the "Freedom and Independence" Association.
The stamp was printed using rotogravure technique, on fluorescent paper, in stamp format 31.25 x 51 mm, in an edition of 120,000 pieces. The sheet contains 12 stamps.
