France 1849 20c Cérès black on yellow very fine pair showing a WAVY LINE POSTMASTER SEPARATION on both vertical sides, tied on very fresh cover with „SARTENE 29 MARS 49“ (Corse) departure cds alongside sent to Ajaccio.
Postmaster roulettes are major rarities on the first issue, only two covers are recorded, one with the 25c and this UNIQUE 20c cover. On the imperforated Napoléon issue many different „piquages“ are priced in the Maury catalogue, the rarest are catalogued on cover at 30-35.000€ (see Villard-de-Lans on 20c Napoléon). The catalogue value for a „piquage“ on the first issue could be estimated at around 50.000€.
THIS UNIQUE COVER REPRESENTS THE EARLIEST STEP TOWARDS PERFORATION ON FRENCH STAMPS. Certificate Pascal Scheller: „perçage vertical très rare sur la premiére émission“

In april 2005 the idea to build a place where collectors, customers and investors from all over the world could meet, was realized.
Since that time both, the Mail Order House and Auction House Gärtner, have been united on 2.700 m2 in the easy accessible building owned by Christoph Gärtner.
Generous viewing and storage rooms, a private auction hall, enough parking space and an underground car park are available.
